For the second time, SSB Steelers sent 20 people to an activity weekend with the Calvert Trust to the Lake District, this time in Keswick. 11 juniors, 3 new players, parents and support from our partners Simpson, Sissons and Brooke's - solicitor Joanne Logan tried out new challenges with abseiling, canoing, rock climbing, horse riding and hand biking. Some even did a push up a mountain and naturally down, with people falling out of chairs, having great fun and pushing their boundaries. Events like this do not build on disability but overcoming boundaries, extending and growing abilities, testing out and trusting the team. The experiences made with trips like this are not only basketball related but hopefully give people confidence in life and personal growth. A huge Thank You again to our partners Castle Martial Arts for raising the funds via "Sea to Sea" and "Fun Day" which enabled the club to organise this weekend and our ongoing partners and sponsors "Simpson Sissons and Brooke" for supporting us over the past two years in any way possible.
